Day 2.

Hello reader, once again. This morning I woke up at 6:30 (even though I was supposed to wake up at 6:05.) I was tired, so I wore my sunglasses to hide my bags. Oh, I almost forgot! There was another frog in our cabin! Jillian once again got it but it peed in her hand! After that I went to breakfast, which consisted of oatmeal, apple juice, cereal, yogurt, and a granola bar.

After that we went to the MCC and learned about the first considered computer programmer- Ada Byron Lovelace.  Ada was born in the 1800's and even though there weren't computers back then, there were some kinds of devices that resembled a computer.  Ada was a sickly person throughout her life and died of cancer on November 27, 1852.

After we learned about Ada, we learned about algebra tiles, mathmagical tricks, the fundemental counting princeipal, probability, polygons, polyhedras, planar shapes, flat shapes, platonic solids, Pascal's triangle, binomal expansion, and did part two of our Olympiad. Here's the link to  Pascal's triangle. Here's Jessica, Meaghan, and I's creation including a (from bottom to top) dodecahedron, a icosahedron, a hexahedron (cube), a octahedron, and a tetrahedron.

  1. Heyyy Kennedi!!
What's the deal with the frog, lol! Omgosh, that is too funny! Do you think that it was the same frog from Monday? What does frog pee smell like annyway, lol! Cabin 2 must really have it going on if there are frogs that want to join the party:)

I'm really enjoying your blog posts, they are very informative and you are expressing your thoughts very well It takes discipline to maintain a blog everyday, especially when there are so many other things going on. Keep it up kiddo, I want to read your blog everyday. Kudos to whoever had the idea to set this activity up for your girls.

So glad that you are having FUN with math for the 1st time in your life. Shine brightly my dear, yeah!!!
